Our Annual Book Sale is September 19-22. The exclusive members-only preview is Wednesday, September 19 from 12 to 8 p.m. For the preview, the doors open at noon–and, yes, there usually is a line of people waiting to get in.
Can I Come Early? The library opens at 9 a.m. daily. You are welcome to come and stand in line for the Book Sale. We will not allow anyone into the sale room before the advertised hours.
Where Do I Park? Parking is available in the lot across the street from the library on 14th. Accessible parking can be found in that lot and street-side in front of the library. A limited amount of accessible parking in available in the lower lot, adjacent to the building itself.
Which Entrance Do I Use? Look for the outside tent by the library’s lower level entrance. You may also enter through the library, using the stairs or elevator to get to the lower level.
What Forms of Payment Are Accepted? Cash or Check
Can I Bring my Spouse/Friend/Partner to the Preview? An individual level membership admits one person to the preview. Family membership levels and above apply to the household. Sorry, your friend will need to have their own membership for admission to the preview. Or, they are welcome to drop by on the other days of the sale.
What Books are in the Sale? We do not have an inventory of titles available in the sale. However, the sale includes some 5,000 books, including fiction, nonfiction, children’s, hardback and paperback. We also feature a nice selection of historic and collectible books. Come and look–it’s part of the fun!
Will You Hold Books? Payment is expected when you leave the sale. Sorry, we do not hold books.
What If I Want to Buy a Big Stack of Books? You are welcome to buy as many books as you wan–in fact, we encourage it! We do not offer volume discounts, but will have boxes and a easy-access loading area.
